Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’m out of network and don’t accept insurance. If your plan offers out-of-network reimbursement, I’m happy to provide a monthly superbill for you to submit. Full payment is due at the time of your session, and you’ll want to check directly with your insurance provider about whether reimbursement is available.

    Why I Don’t Take Insurance

Working with insurance means assigning a mental health diagnosis, even when what you’re coming in for is stress, burnout, life transitions, or feeling stuck. I choose not to put labels on your experience when it’s not actually helpful.

Staying out of insurance lets us focus on what’s really going on for you, without pressure to fit your story into a diagnosis. It also allows for more privacy, more flexibility, and a more honest, spacious place to do meaningful work together.

  • Both! I see a mixture of in person on Fridays at my office in Belltown as well as virtually throughout the week.

  • I’m not here to overanalyze you or make you fit into a box. People work with me when things feel messy, stuck, or emotionally heavy — in their relationships or within themselves. I bring warmth, steadiness, and honest guidance, and I’m comfortable staying with you in the uncomfortable moments, the confusing feelings, and the parts that feel hard to say out loud. You don’t have to protect me from your messiness, I can handle it. I’ve lived a life, seen a lot, and also bring that real-world experience to the work I do.

Sitting with the hard stuff and helping people make sense of it is what I love to do. Honestly, I believe it’s what I was meant to do.

  • Most people start with weekly sessions so I can really get to know you. After about four sessions, we’ll check in and find a rhythm that fits your life and what you’re wanting to work on- maybe that’s weekly, maybe it’s every other week.

  • You don’t need the right words, a clear goal, or a perfectly organized story. You can show up confused, overwhelmed, or unsure. That’s part of the process and what I’m here for.

  • Nope. A lot of people start therapy when things aren’t falling apart, they’re just tired of feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. You don’t have to wait for a breaking point to get support.

  • Reach out through the contact form or book a consult for a time available. I’ll walk you through next steps. We’ll make sure it feels like a good fit before moving forward.
