Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility. I accept all major debt, credit, HSA and FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of the appointment.
As part of my commitment to make therapy more accessible, I accept a limited number of clients on a sliding-scale payment structure.
Currently, all sliding scale spots are full.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I’m out of network and don’t accept insurance. If your plan offers out-of-network reimbursement, I’m happy to provide a monthly superbill for you to submit.
Why I Don’t Take Insurance
Working with insurance means assigning a mental health diagnosis, even when what you’re coming in for is stress, burnout, life transitions, or feeling stuck. I choose not to put labels on your experience when it’s not actually helpful.
Staying out of insurance lets us focus on what’s really going on for you, without pressure to fit your story into a diagnosis. It also allows for more privacy, more flexibility, and a more honest, spacious place to do meaningful work together.

Yes of course! If you have out-of-network insurance benefits, you are welcome to use them.
I am happy to submit claims on your behalf (via a company called Thrizer) or provide you with a monthly superbill, so you can coordinate with your insurance company directly.
It’s important to note that this is only for individual clients, not Relational/Couple clients. -
Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. We have two options:I partner with a company, Thrizer, who can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf for a small fee. After you meet your deductible, you can decide whether or not you want to pay for our sessions in full. You have the option to either pay in full and wait for reimbursement or simply pay your co-insurance. Thrizer can cover the rest of our session cost for you while they wait for reimbursement from your insurance company.
Or if you prefer to deal with your insurance company yourself, I will provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
We can discuss these options in more detail on an intro call and see what works best for you!
It’s important to note that this is only for individual clients, not Relational/Couple clients. -
Both! I see a mixture of in person on Fridays at my office in Belltown as well as virtually throughout the week.

Most people start with weekly sessions so I can really get to know you. After about four sessions, we’ll check in and find a rhythm that fits your life and what you’re wanting to work on- maybe that’s weekly, maybe it’s every other week.

You don’t need the right words, a clear goal, or a perfectly organized story. You can show up confused, overwhelmed, or unsure. That’s part of the process and what I’m here for.
-
Nope. A lot of people start therapy when things aren’t falling apart, they’re just tired of feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed. You don’t have to wait for a breaking point to get support.
